Guess Who?

So I thought it would be fun to put up pictures of all the girls at one month old since Alicia is now that age.  See if you can guess who is who!

Valentine's Snow Day

So this last week was full of snow and valentines fun!  Last Sunday we decorated Valentine sugar cookies-got to keep up the tradition.  It did take us 2 whole days to pull it off but we had fun once we were finally ready.  I braved taking all the kids to walmart and survived so maybe I can handle 4 after all!  Thursday morning we woke up to 18 inches of snow! Everyone got the day off.  It was even kind of powdery  snow and made me feel kind of like I was home in Utah.  It took grant 2 hours or so to dig out.  Good thing we only have a walk way and a little sidewalk.  We did have the car to dig out too.  The neighbors and Grant worked together to get the cars out.  The girls also had no school on Friday not really sure why but we had fun sledding and playing in the snow.
Alicia continues to eat and grow.  Last night she even slept for 5 hours!
Grant is finally back at work in full swing and we are once again trying to figure out where we will be in six months or so.  His fellowship ends at the end of summer so we are exploring our options and trying to make a plan-exciting but stressful too!
A few funny stories from the girls this week:
Emma: after school on wednesday Emma came running out saying "mommy no school tomorrow we are supposed to get a leg of snow".  After a few minutes we figured out she meant a foot of snow!
Leah: She came running upstairs and asked "mommy I can't find my blowheads I think Becca ate them!"  Apparently she meant the airheads she had gotten at walmart.
Becca: when she saw the snow she looked out the window and said "big snow, big problem"  also the next day at bedtime I told her to climb up on the bed because it was time to go to sleep and she said "its 8 o'clock"  We have her well trained already I guess!

Alicia wears out Emma too I guess!

If you look close you can see our car buried in the snow in the background

Thought this was funny- the girls taking pictures of the outfits they were planning to wear that day!

Alicia 2 weeks old...ish!

So I have been a little busy this week with Grant going back to work, well at least a few days this week so here are some 2-3 week old pictures of Alicia.  We are doing pretty good, just trying to get back into life stuff.  Wednesday was a snow, well actually freezing rain day, so everyone was home but Grant.  He did get  to go to work 2 hours later so that was nice at least for me-I got to sleep in! Alicia is doing well, she will sleep 3-4 hours sometimes at night which makes for a happy mom. I am constantly trying to get a picture of her smiling and she always smiles right after or blinks from the flash.  Becca has become my shadow and follows me everywhere I go and talks my ear off!  We have another very verbal one on our hands.  She loves to talk and seems to have picked up that east coast nasal thing which can wear moms ears out sometimes but she is funny to listen to.  The girls new favorite show on tv in called Wild Kratts (it is on pbs and about animals) but Becca calls it wild craps which makes everyone giggle.  If anyone gets hurt she will come up and say "oh no, let me see it.  I will fix it with a bandaid" maybe we have a future doctor on our hands.  Leah is glad to be back at preschool after a break and was super excited for her turn for show and tell this week, she took a stuffed koala bear.  She loves to be outside even though it is pretty cold(we hit 40 and thought it was a heat wave!) but maybe not to her since she layers 2 or 3 pairs of gloves when we go out.  Emma is doing well at school. Her last report card was perfect!  She comes home from school almost everyday with new websites to try out and has been reading a series of books online all about different countries in the world and shares the facts with us.

4 Kids-Week 1

Well we did  it! We have successfully survived 1 week with 4 little girls.  Well Grant and I consider it a success, Emma might have another opinion on the matter.  We are settling in well, and had lots of family time together with 2 days off school for holiday/teacher work day and 1 1/2 cold and snowy days.  Becca has finally decided baby Alicia can stay and even finally wanted to hold her one week later.  Everyone but Grant and Alicia have been fighting colds/coughs this week.  Emma was super frustrated she couldn't hold or play with the baby.  I am worried for the poor thing once Emma is better!  Well baby is calling-here are some pictures.

Baby Alicia-again!

So here are some more pictures of Alicia Elizabeth. She was born Saturday January 18th 2014 at 4:38pm on her due date!  She weighed 8lbs 7 oz and is 21 inches long. We are so glad she is here and are loving every second with her.  She is a pretty calm baby and doesn't cry much-unless you are changing her clothes.  She even seems to be taking the binkie-hooray!  We came home from the hospital yesterday and are getting all settled in.  Emma and Leah love to hold and stare at her.  Becca is content to just ignore her.  She refuses to hold her or even kiss her and just says put her back in her bed.  You can never quite guess how they will react!

First time meeting her sisters

Yawn

Not sure if you can see it but her hair on top refuses to lay flat!
